You are invited to a free webinar about “The Top 10 Things You Should Know about the F-1 Visa Interview” from the perspective of a former U.S. Consular Officer, on March 25th.

Since international student advisers and educators rarely have the opportunity to speak to Consular Officers, there is often little that is known about the F-1 student visa process firsthand. However, the visa interview process is the starting point of an international student's journey to studying in the United States, and it is imperative that university advisers and DSOs understand this process better to support their international students. The presenter is offering an insider's perspective on how consular officers make decisions on the student visa application, as well as other insights she has gleaned from years behind the visa window.

The webinar will be hosted by Mandy Feuerbacher, who has over 7 years of experience working as U.S. Diplomat and Vice Consul for the U.S. Department of State. Mandy is also a U.S. immigration attorney. She has made decisions on over 100,000 visa applications when she was a Consular Officer in China, Mexico, and Hong Kong. She has given numerous talks on the U.S. visa interview process at conferences hosted by the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Most recently, Mandy co-presented at the Los Angeles County Bar Association's "F-1 Student Visa Demystified" in August 2020.
