As we enter the dog days of summer and the August recess draws nearer, the Senate continues to negotiate a COVID-19 related economic stimulus package. For those of you who have already reached out to your Senators, thank you! For those who have not, there is still time to communicate your support for necessary funding and policy changes related to restoring and sustaining the field of international education.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
- Have one minute? Use our online form to generate a message to your lawmakers that carries our top-line requests for key policy changes and financial resources in the Senate stimulus package;
- Have two minutes? If you haven't already, sign up to receive a sample message that outlines these requests to send directly to the immigration and education staffers in your lawmaker's office. Constituents in AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, IL, KS, ME, MO, MS, NC, NY, OH, RI, TN, TX, WA, WI, UT, and VT are particularly important given the committee assignments of one of their senators.
