We have decided to cancel the in-person EnglishUSA Professional Development Conference that was scheduled to take place in Phoenix, Arizona for reasons known to all of us at this time: budget & travel restrictions and the uncertainty of COVID-19 spikes.
Most importantly, we want to ensure that the health of our attendees, their families, colleagues, and friends is not compromised.
We are excited about coordinating a series of EnglishUSA topic-based webinars for January and February based on several of the topic areas in our call for proposals (e.g., curriculum, professional development, student services, technology, etc.).
We are grateful to those who submitted proposals, which will be undergoing review soon for possible webinar sessions.
EnglishUSA continues its commitment to professional development and member-to-member sharing of best practices. A silver lining during COVID-19 is that many more of our colleagues have been able to engage in our virtual events.
